This is the last photograph of Phillip Herron, 34, crying in Darby Allin T Shirt minutes before he took his own life. He was a single dad with three young children and was struggling with a mounting debt of more than £20,000 and was desperately waiting for a universal payment for the credit he had applied for. But he was paid in arrears, with a waiting time of 5 weeks. That wait pushed him into even more debt, and when he died he had £4.61 in his bank account, clearly seeing no way out.
