fold increase, but the total dollar spend isn’t that different. You can buy any passenger vehicle you want and it will still cost you ~the same 80$ to fill it up. BUT… Deciding to go buy a $1.5M home and several $100k+ cars, it’s just really hard to visualize what those things do to your total wealth. Spending a $2M on a home and cars when you had $8M to start with still leaves you with $6M dollars… which still seems like a lot to play with. But you just cut your total net worth by 25%. A few more poor decisions like this will eat the rest before you have time to really think about it. Add to that that those “luzurious” things have been made to be so appealing in the movies. I mean, who wouldn’t want that amazing house and vehicle collection that Tony Stark lived in
